Several people were injured and a few vehicles were set ablaze after members of two groups clashed in Bhainsa area of Nirmal district in Telangana on Sunday. As tension gripped Bhainsa following the clashes, police took 50 people into custody. SP Nirmal district has said cases have been registered against the people who have been in custody following the clashes in Bhainsa. A probe has been initiated. “Several people were injured, few vehicles torched in a clash between two groups in Bhainsa yesterday. Following the clash, 50 people taken into custody & cases registered against them. CCTV footage of the area is being examined, further probe on,” Nirmal district SP said.
MoS Home G Kishan Reddy condemned the clashes in Bhainsa and said he spoke to the DGP Telangana and asked him to arrest the culprits behind the clashes. “Strongly Condemn the violence in Bhainsa yesterday, attack on media personnel is disturbing and unfortunate. Spoke to the DGP of Telangana and asked him to arrest the culprits at the earliest and on the deployment of additional forces. Also spoke to Adilabad MP Sri Soyam Bapu Rao on the issue,” Kishan Reddy said. After the clashes, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao warned the culprits involved in violence in Bhiansa and said the state government will not tolerate lawlessness
In a tweet, KT Rama Rao said, “Peace & harmony is fundamental to the progress of civilised society. Have requested Home Minister @mahmoodalitrs Garu & @TelanganaDGP Garu to take stern action to bring the perpetrators of violence in Bhainsa to justice.” “Telangana Govt will not tolerate lawlessness in any form. My appeal to the people of Bhainsa not to fall prey to rumours and hate-mongering spearheaded by divisive forces. The government will stand by you to maintain law and order effectively,” he said.
