Three held for black marketing of Remdesivir in Delhi

Daryaganj: Delhi police have arrested three people in Daryaganj area for allegedly black marketing antiviral COVID drug Remdesivir and seized seven vials of the medicine. Police said that the accused used to sell Remdesivir at Rs 70,000 per piece The two accused have been identified as Likhit Gupta and Anuj Jain who were running medical stores in Daryaganj in Chandni chowk respectively. The third accused is Akash Verma, a jeweller by profession. Police said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Delhi Police Commissioner SN Srivastava has already made it clear that people involved in the hoarding and black marketing of Remdesivir will not be spared. The Delhi police have deployed teams in 15 districts and has also roped in the Crime Branch to curb the illegal sale of Remdesivir.
